NLC's 25-26th June 2004
The first NLC display of 2004 visible from my home location in Scotland occurred on the
night of the 25-26th June. Weather had been cloudy for most of June which
prevented observation of any earlier displays. It was an excellent display, bright and extensive
covering the northern quadrant to an elevation of 30° with much structure
present. Also the display was active as the clouds changed appearance as the
minutes passed.
Here are a few of my images.

A lovely display of streaks, bands and waves; 4s exposure through a Nikon CoolPix 4500 @400ASA. The bright star is Capella. |
