NLC's JULY 2003



July 2003 was a very good mon
th for NLC displays over Scotland whilst a particularly outstanding display occurred on the night of the 3rd/4th. Images from this display were featured in a Spaceweather.com gallery.

A lovely display occurred on the night of the 2nd/3rd; 4s exposure through a Nikon CoolPix 4500 @400ASA.

An outstanding display on the night of the 3rd/4th...and it was cloud-free! 4s exposure through a Nikon CoolPix 4500 @ effective speed of 400ASA. 
3rd/4th, beautifully detailed structure here. Elevation ~15º; same conditions as above. 
3rd/4th, just a few minutes from home near Falkirk. Beautiful wispy NLC's fill the frame.
