Zimbabwe

A flight from Gaborone to Kasane and a half hour's drive to the Zimbabwe border for two days at Victoria Falls. It was wet season, the falls were building up flow and starting to live up to their indigenous name Mosi-oa-Tunya, "the smoke that thunders". Warning: be prepared for a drenching! It was an enjoyable stay - accommodation, food, sights, all good - the only blemish being an attempted dawn break-in by baboons through my partly open first floor window. I did wonder, beforehand, why the windows had a warning to keep closed when not in the room!  Now I know. Zimbabwe birds were no problem I'm pleased to say.
